Psalm 104:33
I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

Welcome to Ronnie Al Ministries

Ronnie Al is a baritone who sang country music and old time rock & roll. At the age of eight (8), while living at an orphanage, he heard The Sons of the Pioneers, Elvis Presley, and Little Richard and that’s when he knew that he was going to be a singer. After many years in the music business with his band “Ronnie and the Rio Music Band” and because his popularity grew, Ronnie was asked to be the opening act for such country stars as the late Tammy Wynette, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Johnny Rodriguez, John Conlee. He also played guitar and recorded some songs with the late Freddy Fender in the early 60s. He and Freddy (his childhood music mentor) were close friends. In the middle 70s, Ronnie recorded two country songs that reached # 11 and # 18 in the country charts.

Ronnie is a 10th Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, 9th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, 5th Degree in Hapkdio, 5th Degree in Kajukenbo, 1st Degree in Karate (Mas Oyama style), 1st Degree in Kook Sul Won, and is an expert in certain weapons.  Ronnie has taught self-defense to many law enforcement agencies in Texas and in Mexico.  He is proud to mention that he retired as “World Champion” in fighting and also placed second in forms in a world martial arts tournament, which was held in Hawaii.

However, on October 21, 1981, he was invited to a church meeting by Reverend Eubaldo Ponce (on Monday night football and the Cowboys were playing). Against his will, he attended. He heard the songs sung by that great gospel group from Lubbock, Texas… Crystal River and the words of Evangelist Carlos Calera. That night Ronnie made a decision of faith and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Through many falls and bruises, Ronnie continues to serve God by spreading the gospel with song and the word of God. As Ronnie puts it, “Victory in Jesus Christ is edified through many failures.”

Ronnie is licensed and ordained to preach the gospel. His ministry has taken him to Michigan, Colorado, New Mexico, North and South Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Mexico, and many cities within the State of Texas. He has also appeared on the “700 Club” and “Praise the Lord” program.

Ronnie proudly served his country from 1967 to 1969 and is a disabled Vietnam Combat Veteran. While serving with the 173 rd Airborne Brigade, he received his sergeant’s stripes and in 1969 he was honorably discharged. Although a San Benito High School drop-out, in 1988 he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Texas-Pan American and his law degree from Reynaldo G. Garza School of Law; however, he is not an attorney and does not represent himself as one.

Ronnie’s life was spared by God on several occasions. Although he should have died, God spared his life so that he could share with the world how mighty God is and how He can transform lives if you surrender and give your life to Jesus. Ronnie says that God formed us, sin deformed us, but Jesus transformed us. For more than 40 years, Ronnie did what he loved to do until it was time to do what he was meant to do…serve a living God that sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins and be cleansed by His blood but only after you accept Jesus as your personal savior.

Message from Ronnie Al Ministries

I have been called to minister and spread the gospel with song. If you feel impressed and led by the Holy Spirit to invite me to your church and allow me to share my music and how God changed my life from destruction with your congregation, please contact me by telephone, mail or e-mail. It is my desire to faithfully and without expectations serve Jesus Christ, my Savior, in the ministry to which He has called me.
